Tamale Workshop

Tamales are a classic Mexican dish: warm and comforting and most definitely nostalgic.   They are undoubtedly one of the most authentic and traditional dishes in both Mexican and Mexican-American cooking. Learn how to make an essential simple cornmeal dough, and then we will get creative with the fillings. Finish this workshop with Tamales dulces which are a delicious treat for special occasions.  

Menu:

    • Masa for Tamales: Just 5 ingredients to make light, tender and flavorful dough
    • “Tamale de Elote” Corn Cheese and Chile Verde Tamales: Anaheim chiles
    • “Tamales de Puerco” Red Chile Pork Tamales: tasty shredded pork and New Mexico red chile sauce worth the effort
    • Tamales Dulces: fruits, chocolate and nuts wrapped in corn husks
